The staff at Ilakai are truly exceptional! From the warm welcome to the helpful tips throughout our stay, they made us feel like part of their family. They even organized a special birthday party for me, which was unforgettable. The location is perfect, close to the beach and restaurants. The rooms were clean and had a simple yet charming decor. Despite a few minor drawbacks like occasional power cuts and the presence of cockroaches, I would highly recommend this place for a truly Filipino experience. I had a fantastic stay at Ilakai and would definitely go back.

The location is perfect, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The highlight of my stay was the unforgettable birthday Karaoke party that Grace organized for me. I can't thank them enough for making my birthday so special. If you're on the island, there's no better place to stay. Miss you already, Esther!

Less than 1 km from Cloud 9 Surfing Area, this place is a surfer's dream! The private room was clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Nel, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hostel has a great vibe, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. They also offer motorbike rentals and have a gym. Highly recommended for surf enthusiasts and solo travelers looking to make new friends!

The room I stayed in at Ilakai Hostel was awesome! It had a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and stovetop, making it super convenient for cooking some late-night snacks. The air conditioning was a blessing in the summer heat, keeping me cool and comfortable throughout my stay. The private entrance gave me a sense of privacy, and the balcony provided a great spot to enjoy my morning coffee. Plus, having an electric kettle was a nice touch for making a quick cup of tea.

Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the shared bathroom in the double room. But hey, that's just my preference, and some people might not mind it at all.

Only downside was the occasional noise at night from other guests coming back from partying. Also, the road to the hostel could get a little muddy after rain, so be careful if riding a scooter.

ilakai hostel in general luna was a pleasant surprise. the staff made me feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time. the family-like atmosphere and activities like paddle boarding and beach trips created unforgettable memories. exceeded expectations.

Lovely garden and terrace. Enjoyed cycling around. The restaurant served mouthwatering American and Asian dishes. Free WiFi was a bonus. Laundry facilities and a bar were also available. The evening entertainment was a great way to unwind.

Oh, just loved the wet bathrooms! So refreshing to walk in and splash around.

For families with children, my wife says that having a playground or kids' activities on-site would have been great.

This place is absolutely mind-blowing! The building is jaw-droppingly beautiful, with a stunning green garden that you rarely find on the islands. The couple who runs the place are beyond super sweet and kind, they really make you feel at home. Plus, they have this amazing kitchen area where you can prepare fresh food - if I had a garden, I would definitely build a similar kitchen. The staff here is a true treasure! I was blown away by their friendliness and despite the need for improvements, I ended up staying for 5 nights! Kai, one of the staff members, is absolutely amazing - she takes guests to parties and the beach, and even took me paddleboarding at Santa Fe beach. The family feeling at this place is simply unbeatable. You'll always find someone open for a chat in the kitchen, and there's even people practicing yoga on the lawn in the morning. But the real highlight of this place is the couple who manages it - Sean and Maria are the nicest people we've met during our trip! They're always there to help and they truly care about their guests. We will definitely stay at their place again on our next visit to Siargao!
